Abrego Garcia, wrongfully deported to a notorious prison in El Salvador, now faces removal to Uganda just a day after being freed from a Tennessee jail.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the man illegally deported to El Salvador in March and returned in June to face human smuggling charges that he denies, is accusing the Trump administration of attempting to coerce him into a guilty plea by threatening to re-deport him to Uganda.

Officials dangled an offer to send Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia to Costa Rica if he pleaded guilty to criminal charges, the lawyers said in a filing, then threatened to send him to Uganda if he did not.
