A jury of six men and six women is deciding if Brian Walshe is not guilty or guilty of first-degree murder, which requires prosecutors to prove premeditation, or second-degree murder, which requires a lower burden of proof.
The jury has begun deliberations after closing arguments were delivered Friday in the murder trial of Brian Walshe, a father of three accused of killing and dismembering his wife.
The last witness to see Ana Walshe alive emotionally recounted her final night — a New Year’s Eve celebration at the Massachusetts home she shared with her husband Brian Walshe – who is on trial for her murder. He also recounted Brian Walshe’s cold-blooded response when he called and revealed Ana was missing.
The probate court case alleges Walshe, who had been disinherited by his father, destroyed the will and took control of his estate.
