The Tigers were down a man after starting wing Chad Baker-Mazara was ejected due to a Flagrant 2 foul in the second half. The call was made after a review on a play where Baker-Mazara elbowed Alabama’s Chris Youngblood in the back of the head. Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl was asked after the game about the incident but avoided comment.

The electric guard from Auburn could benefit from a new ruling that helps former JUCO athletes gain more eligibility at NCAA institutions.

"I don't mind even talking about this without any kind of appeal: Chad Baker has another year of eligibility," Bruce Pearl said. "He does, because he fits all the criteria. Some of the other guys that have been talked about, I'm not going to specifically reference, but Chad is the one that right now qualifies."

Bruce Pearl on CBM's ejection: "What I'd like is for the first fouls to be called. I haven't seen the play so I can't comment on whatever happened there. Flagrant 2, this is his second time having it. We aren't as good a team without him." Pearl adds, "Chad can't do that."
