Hawaii opened the 2025 season with a thrilling 23-20 win over Stanford on Saturday to cap off Week 0 action. Hawaii kicker Kansei Matsuzawa drilled a 38-yard field goal with no time remaining to give the Rainbow Warriors their first win over a Power Four team since 2019.

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors took to the field on Saturday for Week 0 against the Stanford Cardinal. Hawaii last year finished 5-7 on the season and looked to start 2025 out on the right note.

The University of Hawaii football team’s season opener against Stanford on Saturday is also serving as a homecoming for one of the Cardinal players.
