Extreme heat is expected to hit the Chicago area again this week, and some felt the sweltering, humid temperatures on Sunday afternoon. The Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications pushed out a heat advisory Sunday afternoon, which the office said will last until Monday evening.

Illinois' number one music festival is set to take over Chicago's Grant Park this weekend, with Lollapalooza's star-studded lineup drawing crowds in the hundreds of thousands. The festival is only three days away, scheduled to kick off on July 31 and wrap up on August 3.

Incoming showers and storms from the east by afternoon were expected to bring relief from the sweltering heat wave, the NBC 5 Storm Team said.
