Most people remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his speeches or his civil rights marches, but supporters of the holiday say King’s greatest legacy is his cultural impact.

Washington D.C. marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day with their annual parade as the political climate brings some to reflect on the slain Black American civil rights icon’s legacy.
