Two more people have been charged with murder in the death of a man from Minnesota​ who authorities say was tortured for more than a month before being killed in upstate New York.

Five people have been arrested in New York and charged in connection with the disappearance and murder of a 24-year-old transgender man from Minnesota, who police say was tortured and abused for weeks before his death.

Five people, ranging in age from 19 to 38, have been charged with second-degree murder: Precious Arzuaga, Kyle Sage, Jennifer Quijano, Patrick Goodwin and Emily Motyka. According to a GoFundMe started by Sam’s sister Kayla, Sam was due back in Minnesota by October 12, 2024. Kayla wrote that she was raising funds to fly to New York.
