Former Las Vegas Raiders coach Jon Gruden makes post after NY Giants tight end Darren Waller comes out of retirement and is traded to the Miami Dolphins.

Attempting a comeback after suddenly retiring last offseason, former Giants tight end Darren Waller received enough interest to generate a trade with the Miami Dolphins. The Giants gave up Waller and a 2027 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2026 conditional sixth-round pick.

Thanks to two trades made in the last two years, the New York Giants currently have seven draft picks available to them for 2026. The Giants traded tight end Darren Waller to the Miami Dolphins after Waller decided to come out of retirement.
