Multiple arrests have been made after shots were fired at police conducting surveillance in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Thursday night. Springfield police said in a Facebook post that they were conducting surveillance on Fernwold Street around 7 p.

Two people were arrested following shots being fired at an unmarked Springfield police cruiser Thursday, the Springfield Police Department said. But officials are still looking for additional suspects as of Friday at noon.

No officers were injured, but the cruiser was struck by gunfire, Springfield police spokesman Ryan Walsh posted on social media.

Springfield Police arrested two after a shooting, recovering a loaded, stolen gun. Victim Madwin Lluveras, later also arrested, was hospitalized with a minor injury.

At approximately 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Springfield detectives were conducting surveillance on Fernwold Street when an unmarked cruiser was fired at and hit. No officers were injured. A suspect vehicle then fled before crashing on Grayson Drive near Fox Road,
