Ex-Australian cricket great guilty of involvement in cocaine deal - Stuart MacGill is expected to return to court on May 9 to be sentenced

Former Australian Test cricketer Stuart MacGill has been found guilty of taking part in the supply of cocaine in Sydney. The 54-year-old former spin bowler, who played 44 Tests for Australia and took 208 wickets, had pleaded not guilty to a single charge of participating in the supply of a prohibited drug.

Sydney District Court jury gave its verdict on the former Australia cricketer Stuart MacGill's involvement in a large commercial drug supply in April 2021. MacGill played 44 Test matches for Australia and accounted for 208 wickets at an average of 29.

Stuart MacGill's brother-in-law Marino Sotiropoulos was also involved in the deal where there was an illicit exchange of a kilogram of the substance.
