Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres after showdown talks were held in Portugal.

Arsenal have been warned that Viktor Gyokeres closely resembles Manchester United struggler Rasmus Hojlund before he made a big-money move to Old Trafford. Both the Gunners and Red Devils have eyed Gyokeres as they both go in search of a new striker this summer,

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta have been handed big transfer updates on two of their targets. Kepa Arrizabalaga was confirmed as the Gunners' first summer addition earlier this week with Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard announcements expected imminently.
