WASHINGTON (AP) — Saniya Rivers scored 17 points, Olivia Nelson-Ododa had 15 points and nine rebounds, and the Connecticut Sun beat the Washington Mystics 80-69 on Tuesday night to end a 13-game road losing streak.
Washington had surged in recent days, but the last-place Sun, with a little help from Edwards, handed the Mystics a deflating 80-69 loss.
Sonia Citron ties a career high with five three-pointers and finishes with 24 points to lead the Washington Mystics to a 95-86 victory over the Sparks.
Connecticut faces Washington in a matchup of Eastern Conference teams. Thursday's game is the fourth meeting this season between the two teams.
