After winning the series against the Tigers, the Nats start their series against the Red Sox early. They are getting underway with an 11:05 start for the 4th of July. Last year we had a great 4th of July game with a Jake Irvin masterclass and a Jesse Winker go ahead home run.

Happy Fourth of July, Red Sox Nation! Today, we celebrate Uncle Sam’s birthday by paying our taxes on time and watching our beloved Boston Red Sox take on the Washington Nationals. It’s one of the few pre-noon first pitches across all of baseball, so you still have plenty of time to eat hot dogs and watch fireworks later in the day.

The Red Sox scored seven runs in an inning for the second straight game, blowing out the Nationals to clinch the weekend series.
