CBS News fires '60 Minutes' correspondents, top producer in sweeping shakeup of storied program
CBS News has fired Sharyn Alfonsi, Cecilia Vega, and top producer Tanya Simon from "60 Minutes" as new editor-in-chief Bari Weiss overhauls the program.

Nick Bilton, who has never worked in television news, replaces Tanya Simon, a 25-year veteran of TV’s marquee newsmagazine.
Nick Bilton is a former New York Times columnist and has made several documentaries for Netflix, where he worked with CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss.
Bari Weiss, CBS’s editor in chief, named Nick Bilton, a tech journalist and filmmaker, as the show’s executive producer. The network also fired two on-air correspondents.
