HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– Starting Monday drivers who are not members of AAA Northeast can once again go to one of the auto club’s branches to renew their driver licenses.

Spokeswoman Tracy Noble said Gharibian signed up for AAA membership on Feb. 18, 2015 and opted for automatic renewal. A membership guide, mailed the next day, explained AAA's refund policy.

And for AAA, only around 35 percent of members acquiring at the same time, so the same channels, were under 45, they had a bigger share of members over the age of 45, 55, and 65.

AAA makes it fairly easy to cancel your membership, but you can’t cancel online. Call the Member Service Center at (800) 222-6424 to speak with one of their customer service representatives.

The automobile club is providing the service to benefit its 370,000 members in Maine, said AAA spokesman Pat Moody. “We are not making money of it,” he said.
