A uranium miner has been mauled to death by a black bear. The 27-year-old was killed on Friday while working for UraniumX Discovery Corp. as an independent contractor in Saskatchewan, Canada. It is only the province’s fourth bear death in recorded history.

A family in Arcadia, California, witnessed this firsthand when a baby bear fell into their jacuzzi and was quickly rescued by Mom. They managed to take a video of Mom and Baby wandering the backyard and then eventually heading out.

According to Atlanta News First, the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office said deputies followed Georgia Department of Natural Resources guidance and used two rifle shots to euthanize the bear to prevent any further suffering.
