Gov. Tony Evers took action on a bill Friday that addresses the crime of grooming a child for sexual activity.
Evers also signed a second bill into law that requires school districts to establish rules for how school staff communicate with students.
Senate Bill 1540 would criminalize "grooming" of minors, establishing penalties of up to a decade in prison as the proposal advances to the Senate floor.
