Two security personnel were killed in the incident that occurred at approximately 4 a.m. Monday morning, local time, according to Hong Kong police.

Two people are dead after a cargo plane skidded off the runway into the sea while landing at Hong Kong airport early on Monday.

"Preliminary information indicates that the four crew members on board were rescued and sent to hospital, while two ground staff were affected and fell into the sea," the department added.
