We ordered a full plug-and-play HID kit from the lighting pros at RaptorRetrofit.com to convert our 2013 F-150’s H13 halogen harness to a ballast-ready HID harness ($150).

HID lights have many advantages over traditional halogen lights. Most importantly, HID lights are about 2 1/2 times more powerful than a comparable halogen light.

As with xenon lights, several companies offer kits to convert halogen systems to LEDs, though these kits often include only one LED bulb that fits into the original socket.
