Instagram head Adam Mosseri said today that a Threads API is in the works. This will give developers a chance to create different apps and experiences around Threads.

According to Instagram chief Adam Mosseri, though, Threads is working on an API for developers — he just has concerns about how it's going to be used.

The new API release follows a similar announcement from Meta for Instagram in June. The company launched Instagram Reels API for developers to post Reels directly to Instagram Business accounts.
