A major nor'easter could bring blizzard conditions to the Boston area Monday, the latest weather forecast shows.
On Monday at 2:48 p.m. EST a winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Tuesday 10 a.m. EST until Wednesday midnight EST for Chippewa and Mackinac counties.
The entire Maine coast is facing a blizzard warning from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, which forecast whiteout conditions from falling and blowing snow. Coastal flooding is possible in York County, meteorologists say.
Lake-enhanced snow that started falling overnight in some places is expected to intensify all around Erie and Crawford counties Feb. 23.
More than a foot of snow fell in Philadelphia and across the region, with the Jersey Shore being hit the hardest.
At 6:36 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released an updated winter storm warning in effect until 6 p.m. for Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties.
