A fire broke out at an abandoned building at Liberty Station on Wednesday night, officials said. Firefighters responded to the blaze at 2750 Cushing Road just after 8:30 p.m. and called a second-alarm response nearly 15 minutes later, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

The fire was reported to the department at 8:33 p.m. about a fire at an abandoned, 4,000-square-foot building at 2750 Cushing Rd.
