Alexander Isak has gone public for the first time about his discontent at Newcastle by saying the club has broken promises and that “the relationship can’t continue.”

Isak was not present at Tuesday's PFA awards, where he was the only Newcastle player to be named in the Premier League team of the season.

The 27-year-old’s Instagram post was a great example of saying plenty without using a single word. Instead of issuing a lengthy statement, Guimaraes simply reshared a post from the Premier League’s Latin America account, showing him proudly wearing Newcastle’s new home kit, standing tall against the backdrop of the club crest.
