Call of Duty fans are in for a treat, as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is shaping up to be, frankly, weird. Early reveals have shown a potentially mind-bending campaign where our characters appear to be fighting their way through some kind of virtual world. It's an odd one, and you won't need to wait long to jump in.
Weapons, operators, XP tokens, GobbleGums (Zombies), skins and other cosmetic items from last year’s game will be usable in Black Ops 7’s multiplayer, as well as Warzone. This will kick off a few weeks post launch, with the start of Season One.
According to sources who wished to remain anonymous as they couldn’t talk about the game’s plans, Black Ops 7’s hotly rumored ‘Avalon’ map, which was initially planned as a Battle Royale map, will be the title’s 12th and final mission in the Black Ops 7 campaign.
Black Ops 7's Creative Director was asked if they think about Battlefield 6 at all, and he admits he has played it and had fun.

As a first-person shooter fan, I tuned into the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 stream eager to learn all about Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. It was another game, however, that really caught my eye.
Battlefield and Call of Duty are set to go head-to-head again this Fall, with Battlefield 6 dropping in October, and Black Ops 7 in November. But the sentiment after a succesful open beta period is that Battlefield will be the one to grab gamers' attention,
Black Ops 7 has some serious star power behind it, with Milo Ventimiglia and Kiernan Shipka starring in some stunning new images.
