Agencies that support victims of domestic violence rallied outside the Michigan capitol building Tuesday to urge more funding for domestic violence services.

Jen Polzin has been crunching the numbers, and they don’t look good. The CEO of Tubman said their organization gets about a third of its annual funding − roughly $3 million − from the federal government.

Gov. Jeff Landry will seek more stable funding for domestic violence prevention services after his initial budget proposal threatened to cut them.
