U.S. men’s national team midfielder Gio Reyna has completed his move from Borussia Dortmund to Borussia Mönchengladbach, the clubs announced on Saturday. The 22-year-old American put pen to paper with his new club through the 2028 season, and reports suggested they spent upwards of $7 million to bring him in from Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund failed to win their first game of a new Bundesliga season for the first time in 10 years. They registered an expected goals tally of 1.42 from their eight shots, compared to St. Pauli's 1.

Borussia Dortmund kicked off their Bundesliga campaign with a frustrating 3-3 draw away to St. Pauli, as two late goals for the Neighbourhood Kickers denied Die Schwarzgelben a third consecutive head-to-head victory.
