Many retailers and grocery stores will remain open on the Fourth of July, though some may operate on different hours. Major retailers, stores and restaurant chains including Walmart, Starbucks and McDonald's confirmed to USA Today that they will still be serving customers during the holiday.

Target stores will be open regular hours on the Fourth of July. Costco is one of the few national retailers that won't be open on the Fourth of July. It will close all stores on July 4. Trader Joe's stores will open on July 4 but all stores will close at 5 p.m.

The Nasdaq Stock Market and New York Stock Exchange will be closed on Friday in observance of the Fourth of July. Bond markets will also be closed, as will NYSE American Equities, NYSE Arca Equities, NYSE National, NYSE Texas, and NYSE options markets. These exchanges and markets will reopen at their regular times on Monday, July 7.
