Two rookie defensive backs with Alabama football roots filled up the stat sheet as the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets concluded their preseason schedules on Friday night. Philadelphia won 19-17 by stopping a 2-point conversion run with 3:07 left in the game.

Then the "no quit" that first-year head coach Aaron Glenn referred to several times in his postgame remarks rose up hot as QB Adrian Martinez and the Jets offense caught fire, moving to two long-drive touchdowns and then getting within a 60-yard field goal with a minute to play of pulling out an improbable 20-19 victory.
