Before the New York Giants drafted him, the San Francisco 49ers were high on running back Cam Skattebo. San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed on Wednesday that the Niners considered taking Skattebo and "loved him" during the NFL draft process.
According to Rapoport, the Giants expect Skattebo to be ready for next season. He added that the injury carries roughly a six-month recovery timeline—meaning that even at the latest, he should be ready for the team's OTAs and minicamp next spring.
