Lane Kiffin's return to Ole Miss as the LSU coach will come on Sept. 19 in what figures to be one of the most charged and raucous environments of the 2026 college football season. The game's date was revealed Thursday as the SEC announced its 2026 schedule, which will feature nine league contests for each team.

The Tigers have scheduled all three nonconference games for 2026. They’ll host Clemson on Sept. 5 (Week 1), Louisiana Tech on Sept. 12 (Week 2) and McNeese on Oct. 3 (Week 5). LSU finalized an agreement to play the Bulldogs on Wednesday.

Lane Kiffin will return to Oxford to face Ole Miss in 2026, setting the stage for one of the premier events of the college football season, regardless of how well each team is playing. LSU will play Ole Miss on Saturday, September 19 in Oxford. LSU will play Tennessee on November 21, 2026 in Knoxville.
