The Thursday Murder Club closely follows the plot of the first book, which made us all fall in love with the titular crime-solving pensioners: Elizabeth (Helen Mirren), Joyce (Celia Imrie), Ron (Pierce Brosnan) and Ibrahim (Ben Kingsley).

Actress Celia Imrie is a star of both TV and film, with projects like The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Bridget Jones’ Diary, Calendar Girls, Keeping Faith, The Diplomat and Patrick Melrose under her belt. Imrie is behind former nurse and latest member of the club, Joyce Meadowcroft.

The Thursday Murder Club is gearing up to make its cinematic debut this week, followed by its Netflix release the week after.
