HOUSTON — Powerful storms raced through the Houston area Saturday night Several damage reports have surfaced across Southeast Texas. The National Weather Service will review the reports to determine whether surveys are needed to classify the damage as straight-line wind or tornado-related.

Houston severe weather: Viewers capture rain, wind damage videos
FOX 26 viewers are submitting video of weather impacts after heavy rains, strong winds and tornado watches and warnings swept through the area Saturday night.
Storms roared through Southeast Texas Saturday, dropping 2 inches of rain in spots. This is great news because we are still under widespread drought. The area also saw widespread wind damage and lightning , bringing down fences and even reports of collapsed steps. Brenham even saw pea sized hail when the line of storms first began to organize.
An updated tornado watch was released by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 9:24 a.m. in effect until 2 p.m. for Houston County.
