This season, opposing defenses have begun to figure out the Eagles’ nearly unstoppable play. In Friday’s win over Philadelphia, the Chicago Bears neutralized a key tush push attempt in the third quarter. Cornerback Nahshon Wright stripped the ball from Jalen Hurts and recovered the fumble.
Hurts was stopped short of the first-down marker, and once the pile of bodies cleared, Bears cornerback Nahson Wright emerged with the football. To the disbelief of Eagles fans in attendance at Lincoln Financial Field, Hurts fumbled the ball away.

Can the Eagles get their signature Tush Push back on track?
After an offseason where the Tush Push’s fate was in question, the Eagles this season have attempted the play 27 times. They have converted just 16 and have been called for three false starts. That’s a conversion rate of 66.7% without the penalties and just 59.3% with them. They were over 81% last season.
The NFL's Black Friday football game's included multiple turnovers between the Bears and Eagles. One was more unusual than the rest.
The decision to not go tush push or bust at the goal line felt indicative of the Eagles’ loss of faith in the play. Last week, the Bears were able to shut down the once dominant play in creative fashion. This week, the Chargers didn’t even have to try.
Jalen Hurts kept it real when discussing his costly Tush Push fumble in the Eagles' loss to the Bears on Black Friday.
The Eagles lined up on third-and-1 just shy of midfield as if they were going to run the “trush push,” but instead, Hurts pitched the ball to Barkley in the backfield and the Philadelphia running back burst up the field for a 52-yard touchdown run to his team a 16-13 lead after the extra point.
The Bears showed they could stop the tush push and also get burned by it against Pittsburgh but against the Eagles they shut it down in no uncertain terms.
After forcing a Chicago turnover at the Bears' 36 in the third quarter, the Eagles, trailing 10-9, faced a third-and 1 at the Bears' 12. The Eagles got into Tush Push formation, and quarterback Jalen Hurts pushed forward. Chicago cornerback Nahshon Wright went to the side of the pile and pulled the ball out of Hurts' arms.
