Women's top seed Aryna Sabalenka fought off inspired home favourite Emma Raducanu in a cauldron-like Centre Court atmosphere to keep her Wimbledon quest on track but it was the end of the road for two other Grand Slam champions on Friday (July 4).

Nevertheless, the home crowd cheered for Raducanu as her Wimbledon campaign and grass court season ended. During her post-match press conference, Raducanu was still visibly upset about how she failed to execute, but still saw the silver lining in her performance.

Emma Raducanu has said while her defeat to Aryna Sabalenka is tough to take, she feels motivated to keep improving having given the world No. 1 a serious test at Wimbledon on Friday.
