After one of the biggest offseason quarterback battles in BYU football's history, the team has officially named freshman Bear Bachmeier the starting quarterback.

In naming freshman Bear Bachmeier as the starting quarterback, BYU offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick on Tuesday said the decision didn't surprise the team.
