Dame Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Sir Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie were among stars on the red carpet for the premiere of The Thursday Murder Club in Leicester Square on Thursday night. The new film is based on Richard Osman’s bestseller about four unlikely friends in a retirement home who meet weekly to solve cold cases.

Fans of the murder mystery comedy book will no doubt be impressed by the incredible cast of this new Netflix film, which stars Dame Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie as the four members of the titular group.

The moment comes when her character (also called Elizabeth, funnily enough) dresses herself up as part of a scheme with fellow Thursday Murder Club member Joyce (Celia Imrie), which involves them infiltrating the police station to speak to PC Donna De Freitas (Naomi Ackie).
