Jim Harbaugh on NCAA punishment

The Rams closed out a bad week for Harbaugh with a social media post referencing Michigan football's sign-stealing scandal that occurred when he was head coach.
Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman said earlier this week that he expects right guard Mekhi Becton to be ready for Week 1 even though Becton hasn't practiced in over two weeks, but head coach Jim Harbaugh didn't go nearly that far in a Thursday press conference.
"The NCAA found no evidence that Jim Harbaugh or Michigan coaches directed or had knowledge of low-level staffer's Connor Stalions' alleged off-campus scouting operation," Safie wrote on X. "Jim Harbaugh made a statement in October 2023 that he had no knowledge, and that's supported."
With Harbaugh, you also get Jim World. In Jim World, the coach is/was a man followed by both his loyal players and … his hand-raised chickens. His press conferences could veer into the stratosphere.
Penalties were handed down by the NCAA to the Michigan Wolverines on Friday, effectively concluding the Wolverines' recent scandal involving inappropriate sign-stealing allegations during the Jim Harbaugh era in Ann Arbor.
