Famed competitive eater Joey “Jaws” Chestnut has reclaimed his title at the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest after skipping last year’s event.

In his triumphant return to the event after a one-year absence, Joey Chestnut downed 70.5 hot dogs in 10 minutes to win the 2025 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, claiming his 17th Mustard Belt and taking his crown back in the July 4 contest he has dominated over the years.

Joey "Jaws" Chestnut on Friday regained his longtime title of champion in the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating contest at New York City's Coney Island after he was banned from the competition last year.
