The Chicago Bears and general manager Ryan Poles have reportedly agreed to a contract extension. Poles took on the position of general manager in 2022 and will continue to serve until 2029.

The Chicago Bears are reportedly creating more franchise alignment and have agreed to a new five-year contract extension with general manager Ryan Poles.

From an organizational standpoint, having your GM and coach in lockstep contractually does make things a bit more structured. That said, the Bears are 15-36 over the course of Poles' tenure, so this extension is a bit of a leap of faith by the franchise.
