A two-day limited engagement run of the hit Sony animated film is expected to top the third weekend of "Weapons"

In a box office twist, "Kpop Demon Hunters," a film from the theatrical-averse Netflix appears to be No. 1 on North American charts.

Since the streamer doesn't report grosses, New Line and Warner Bros.' hit horror pic 'Weapons' will be listed as the official winner of the Aug. 22-24 frame. It was a banner weekend all the way around for streamers as Apple's 'F1: The Movie' raced past a huge $600 million globally.
