Aston Villa have now gained 14 points from losing positions in the Premier League this season, the fourth-most of any side. While Ipswich Town have dropped 19 points from winning positions, with only Southampton (20) and Tottenham Hotspur (21) having dropped more.

Aston Villa are looking to extend their unbeaten run at home to 12 matches this afternoon as Unai Emery's side target a victory over relegation-threatened Ipswich Town. Villa come into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the FA Cup, while Ipswich won 4-1 at Coventry City.

Aston Villa also got through in the FA Cup, beating Tottenham, but they have gone three games without a win in the league - drawing with Arsenal and West Ham, and losing to Wolves. All three of those results came after midweek matches, however, and not being in the Champions League play-off round this week is a big boost for Villa.

Aston Villa will welcome back Ollie Watkins for their Premier League clash with Ipswich on Saturday. Unai Emery’s side responded well to their defeat to Wolves last time out in the League, as Villa beat Tottenham 2-1 to knock Spurs out of the FA Cup.
