(WJAR) — Firefighters responded to a fire at an apartment complex in Johnston on Monday. The fire department responded around 9:15 a.m. to the Bainbridge Apartments on 363 Simmonsville Avenue. An NBC 10 news crew observed firefighters having to deal with smokey conditions.

The Fairborn Fire Department was dispatched before 3 a.m. to the 200 block of W. Dayton Yellow Springs Road on reports of a structure fire. Initial scanner traffic indicated that heavy smoke came from an apartment complex.

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Crews worked to contain a fire at the Bainbridge Apartment complex on Simmonsville Avenue Monday morning. Fire crews also ventilated some of the smoke through the roof of the apartment building. The Red Cross was on standby at the apartment complex.
