Former Boston Bruins and San Jose Sharks player Lyndon Byers died at the age of 61. The Bruins released a statement Saturday:

Lyndon Byers, who played nine NHL seasons with the Boston Bruins and helped the team reach the Stanley Cup Final in 1988 and 1990, has died at the age of 61.

Byers played for the team from 1983 to 1992 and went to the Stanley Cup finals twice before becoming a Boston radio personality
