New York police are investigating the attack of a Brooklyn woman harassed last week by a pro-Israeli group of men in an encounter captured on multiple videos, which has incited demonstrations and condemnation from religious groups.

The police were investigating the attack in Crown Heights, where hundreds of pro-Israel demonstrators surrounded a woman and hurled slurs at her.

An appearance by Itamar Ben-Gvir set off clashes between pro-Palestinian activists and members of the neighborhood's large Orthodox Jewish community.
