New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy warned on Thursday that “life-threatening rip currents will be present at all ocean beaches across the state” the next few days due to Hurricane Erin.

The system could strengthen into a hurricane and may impact Bermuda, while Hurricane Erin continues to create dangerous swimming conditions at the Jersey Shore

Hurricane Erin has triggered a state of emergency in North Carolina, where residents and visitors along the Outer Banks are under evacuation orders.
