Paige Bueckers' star power is contagious. The Dallas Wings rookie got one of her "dream celebrities" to come visit her during the Wings and Los Angeles Sparks game on Wednesday, Aug. 20. During WNBA All-Star Weekend, Bueckers told reporters that her dream celebrities to have in the stands were Ellen Pompeo and Shemar Moore.

In June, she scored 27 points when her favorite player, Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving, attended her game.

Lobo’s remark reinforced a growing sentiment across the league that the award is no longer up for debate. While Washington Mystics ’ Sonia Citron had been mounting a strong challenge with steady play, Bueckers’ breakout performance shifted momentum heavily in her favor.
