Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (hamstring) remained out of the starting lineup for the fifth straight game on Sunday. Guerrero hasn't started in a game since being pulled from Monday's game due to hamstring inflammation.

With the Toronto Blue Jays down 5-3 with two outs and two on, Guerrero, who hadn't played since Monday due to hamstring inflammation, pinch hit for Ty France against Marlins reliever Ronny Henriquez.

Since his big-league debut in 2019, Guerrero has been the face of the Blue Jays franchise, collecting his fifth straight All-Star selection this year. His best season came in 2021, when he finished runner-up in AL MVP voting and would have won if not for Shohei Ohtani’s historic two-way campaign.
