The CTA said Monday night there was a minor derailment of a Yellow Line train at the Howard Station near Evanston. About 7:40 p.m., the CTA and the Chicago Fire Department escorted riders from two trains to nearby platforms, according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.

The Chicago Transit Authority said there was a minor derailment of a Yellow Line/Skokie Swift train at Howard. The cause was unknown, and no injuries were reported.

The Yellow, Purple and Red line trains were standing with major delays after a Yellow Line train derailed at the Howard Station, according to the CTA. Riders on two trains were escorted to the nearby station platform, officials said. No one was injured. Service on the Yellow Line resumed Tuesday morning.
