Alesund is one of Norway’s prettiest towns, thanks to its Jugendstil architecture which has all the hallmarks of the turn of the last century’s Art Nouveau movement. Alesund was our second port of call on this 16 night journey aboard @ambassadorcruiseline AMBIENCE. We started the day with the ship’s excursion into the spectacular Hjorundfjord which was on board the classic little MV BRUVIK, a preserved coastal vessel, then headed into town for some shopping and cafe time before climbing up the 4
