Hosted by Ernest Tubb alongside his Texas Troubadours, it put classic country front and center—live performances, road-ready bands, and no frills. Today we are remembering the legendary "Texas Troubadour", Ernest Tubb, who was born February 9, 1914 near Crisp, Texas. In a 50 year career, the honky-tonk trailblazer developed from a Jimmie Rodgers imitator to one of the most influential and important country performers in history. His signature song, "Walking the Floor Over You" came in 1941. Throughout his career, he was known for his kindness to his fans, and for helping fledgling artists get started.
